Worn against skin, carried through love, heartbreak and reinvention, jewelry gathers a life beyond the hands of the maker. adha zelma studio brings archival and contemporary works together with collector portraits and stories in an intimate salon exhibition exploring the pieces we cannot forget, the feelings they awaken and the instinct to reach for them again.
adha zelma is a Brooklyn jewelry studio founded by designer Sheanan Bond, developed for nearly two decades with partner and creative director Cherise TrahanMiller. Exploring identity, ritual and cultural memory, the studio creates sculptural jewelry through unexpected combinations of shell, stone, feathers and intricate beadwork.
Its work has been presented internationally, including at Artistar Jewels in Milan, and featured in British Vogue, Vogue Italia, InStyle and ESSENCE.

Each November, NYC Jewelry Week presents The Week, a seven-day celebration of jewelry and the people, ideas, and craftsmanship behind it. NYCJW26 brings together a global audience for a dynamic mix of in-person and virtual experiences across New York City and beyond.
