Course Description:
Dr. Lerner will focus on implant complications and their management. The morning session will provide an in-depth exploration of implant-related complications, including their causes, prevention strategies, and effective failure management techniques. Additionally, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of grafting techniques, including decortication and the use of various grafting materials.
In the afternoon, Dr. Lerner will continue the lecture, expanding on practical approaches to managing complex implant cases. Participants will also engage in hands-on exercises, focusing on socket preservation and guided bone regeneration (GBR), two critical techniques for ensuring successful implant outcomes. This session will provide valuable, practical knowledge to help participants confidently address and manage implant complications in their own practices.

Meet Your Speaker: Sheldon Lerner, DMD
Dr. Sheldon Lerner, DMD, a periodontist trained at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and in periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, is widely identified as a co-founder of Blue Sky Bio. Multiple sources, including Blue Sky Bio materials and independent dental publications, describe him as a co-founder, as well as a Vice President and technology leader within the company.

His background includes:
*Periodontal specialty training with a practice limited to periodontics and implantology.
*Co-founding Blue Sky Bio with Dr. Albert Zickmann in the late 1990s.
*Serving as Vice President of Clinical Support and previously as Chief Technology Officer.
*Extensive involvement in guided surgery, implant planning software, implant design, and implant education.
