Join the City of Sugar Land as we celebrate a historic milestone in the redevelopment of the Imperial Historic District: the start of preservation work on the iconic Imperial Sugar Char House.
For more than two decades, the community has envisioned preserving the Char House and bringing new life to this historic site. Now, that vision is taking an important step forward.
Preservation work will address critical elements of the century-old structure, including repairing the roof, windows, brick and steel, building systems and iconic Imperial Sugar signage. The work will protect the Char House from further deterioration while preparing it for future reuse as part of the broader redevelopment of the Imperial Historic District.
Join City leaders, community partners and fellow residents as we commemorate this significant moment, honor an important piece of Sugar Land’s history and celebrate the next chapter for Imperial.
