Join Dr. Kimberly McGlonn as she shares lessons accumulated in her career as a thought leader during this book release launch and fireside chat.
Dr. McGlonn’s experience is extensive: she served as Councilwoman in Montgomery County for a decade, a classroom teacher for 20 years, and now she finds herself advising organizations nationally. As Vice President of Social Impact at the Fitler Club and Executive Director of its Foundation, she will draw from her unique insights to call others into a personal relationship with creating impact.
Dr. McGlonn’s first book, Build it Boldly: How Daring Business Leaders Can Gain Influence and Create Impact is part memoir and part manual which explores how bold, intentional design can serve not only as a business asset, but as a transformative social force.
Signed copies of the book will be available for sale before and after the program.

Get to Know Dr. Kimberly McGlonn
Dr. KIMBERLY MCGLONN is an award-winning advocate for justice & environmentalism, advocacy that informs her approach to leadership in the fashion industry. As Founder & CEO of the manufacturing start-up Grant Blvd ®, she oversees the creative direction and growth strategy of the brand. Grant Blvd’s mission is to construct sustainably sourced fashion by creating living wage training & jobs for women, particularly those who are formerly incarcerated. Outside of these roles, Kimberly leads via her role as VP of Social Impact at Fitler Club, and her role as faculty member of Drexel University’s Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. Dr. McGlonn was recently named by Philadelphia Magazine’s 150 Most Influential People in Philly.
