Organized by New Horizons Media Inc., the Canadian Immigrant Women’s Association, Calgary Catholic Immigration Society, and Calgary Public Library, the Immigrant Business Expo - Calgary (IBE) is a premier one-day event for newcomer and refugee business owners. The expo features interactive workshops, an expert panel discussion, a keynote address, a bustling marketplace, and a dedicated small business clinic.
While Canada has a rich history of immigrant entrepreneurship, newcomers often face distinct challenges when starting and scaling a business. The IBE bridges this gap by directly connecting attendees with essential government-funded and community resources tailored to help launch and expand small businesses in Canada.
This year’s theme, The Future of Small Business: AI, Automation, and Digital Innovation, explores how emerging technologies, practical strategies, and strong community partnerships can help entrepreneurs launch, grow, and future-proof their ventures in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
