Join us for an exclusive day of historical exploration and hands-on learning at The Regency Town House, a beautiful Grade 1 listed building undergoing careful restoration. This immersive event offers a unique opportunity to delve into Regency-era interior design through:
- A guided tour led by an expert
- An innovative augmented reality (AR) experience* that lets you digitally reimagine Regency interiors
- An interactive workshop focused on the fabrication and care of historic architectural ornament
*The AR experience was developed in partnership with the University of Brighton through their Community University Partnership Programme.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- The architectural and interior design history of The Regency Town House.
- The role of colour, pattern, and detailing in Regency interiors and how AR technology can aid historical interior restoration and visualisation.
- The traditional materials, methods and skills of the ornamental plasterer and other production techniques used historically to produce 3D decoration
