Immersive Music Club presents a complete playback of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Classic Album, Welcome to the Pleasuredome (1984). This is the 2025 Dolby Atmos mix by Steven Wilson.
Welcome to the Pleasuredome, released in 1984 and produced by Trevor Horn, is the first album by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, a double opus blending synthpop, funk, and rock, marked by ambitious and provocative production. Driven by the hits “Relax,” “Two Tribes,” and “The Power of Love,” it stands out for its bold aesthetic and its strong inclination toward excess and escapism. The title track, long and immersive, exemplifies this almost cinematic sonic ambition. An immediate success and a number-one record in the UK, the album generated both debate and enthusiasm through its mix of sensuality, political overtones, and lavish production. With hindsight, it is regarded as a key landmark of 1980s pop, sitting at the crossroads of provocation, marketing ingenuity, and sonic experimentation.
The seats are arranged in the centre of the auditorium, surrounded by a 3-dimensional array of professional studio monitoring speakers. Instead of the usual "wall" of music coming only from in front, Dolby Atmos allows the creation of truly immersive music where different sounds, voices or instruments come from different directions, including from above, which places the listener inside the music itself, allowing you to hear every element of the music in breathtakingly intimate detail.
Please note, this is an immersive AUDIO experience, in a darkened room with subtle psychedelic lighting. Closing your eyes during playback is encouraged, in order to facilitate full musical immersion. Free eye masks are available to help darken things further. Alternatively, feel free to bring your own.

The doors and bar at the venue open at 6pm.
The listening room will open to Welcome To The Pleasuredome ticket holders at 6:45pm.
Event begins at 7pm - latecomers will not be admitted, so please arrive and take your seat before this time. Run time is 1 hour 4 minutes.
The room must be vacated by 8:10pm, unless you have a ticket for the Prince Purple Rain session which follows at 8:30pm.
The bar remains open until 11pm.
