Ideal for clinicians working with infants, young children and whānau - psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, social workers, paediatricians, occupational therapists and infant mental health practitioners - this workshop offers an interactive & practice‑focused learning environment. Video-feedback is a powerful, evidence-based approach for strengthening early relationships and supporting caregivers to understand their young children’s emotional needs. This workshop introduces its core principles as a clinical intervention tool in infant mental health practice, covering foundational concepts, practical applications, and its use across relational contexts, including parent–child dyads and family triads.
Participants will learn how video-feedback enhances sensitive caregiving, supports reflective functioning and deepens insight into moment-to-moment interactions, with practical tools for integrating it in person and online, offering a flexible and effective method to support whānau with young children.
