Imagining Tomorrow: Science Fiction, Arts, and Technological Futures
What can art and literature do with the future? They do not simply anticipate what may come next. Through fiction, visual art, speculative design, bio-art or immersive media, they give form to possibilities that are still uncertain, sometimes desirable, sometimes troubling.
This roundtable brings together the writers Chen Qiufan and Kao Yi-feng, artist Kuang-Yi Ku, literary translator and scholar Gwennaël Gaffric, and Corrado Neri, whose work focuses on cinema and VR/XR art. Coming from different creative and critical practices, they will discuss how imagined futures take shape across literature, art and technology, and how these forms can help us think about transformations already affecting bodies, environments and everyday life.
