ILLUMINATED CAPITAL WORKSHOP 7 November

The date for the forthcoming illumination workshop has been set. I’ve scheduled it for October so we can get through the holiday season and have something to look forward to in the Autumn.
I do hope you can join me for this exciting new workshop now added to the list for Lettering by the Sea.
During the day we will explore the traditional and beautiful craft of illumination.
Using pre printed templates you will learn how to trace down, outline, gild using 23ct gold leaf and finally paint your gilded initial using gouache and a fine paintbrush.
The timings for the workshop are approximate. Some will complete each section quicker than others so may finish earlier and some later. We will continue until the project is finished.
Hot and cold drinks are provided but we will stop for a lunch break so bring please bring your own lunch.
The price for the workshop includes all materials required during the day.
I will send out an email a week before the workshop to touch base and chat through any finer details.
No calligraphy or artistic experience required for this workshop just some patience and a desire to learn something new!
