Chase Georgia's tallest waterfall, then head north for apple picking in Ellijay, a full fall day out with Ignite Journey. Free. All welcome. Amicalola Falls drops 729 feet, the tallest cascading waterfall in the Southeast. We'll take in the falls, walk the staircase, and then roll on to an Ellijay orchard to pick apples and close out the morning right.
What to expect:
1. Amicalola Falls, up close from the staircase and the overlooks
2. Apple picking at an Ellijay orchard after the falls
3. A fall day well spent, budget extra travel time, the park is about an hour north of the city
4. Good company the whole way
What to bring & know:
Water, comfortable shoes, and cash/card for the orchard. Parking at the state park is $5.
