🎧 WHAT MAKES A TANGO DANCEABLE — OR NOT?If you love tango, don't miss this opportunity to meet Ignacio Varchausky, one of today's leading tango musicians.
Ignacio is a double bassist, founder of the legendary Orquesta El Arranque and Artistic Director of the Emilio Balcarce Tango School Orchestra. He is also a music producer, author, collector, and educator. He has produced over 50 albums with major tango artists, including Leopoldo Federico, Horacio Salgán, Emilio Balcarce, Nelly Omar, and Víctor Lavallén. His courses and lectures on tango music are known worldwide.
In this original lecture, Ignacio explores the elements, patterns, and musical logic that make tango danceable.
Through a fun game of musical contrasts, we will listen to and compare different orchestras, discovering their interpretations and why some are considered more danceable than others.
Designed for a general audience, the lecture is especially relevant for tango dancers, TDJs, teachers, and anyone interested in understanding tango music more deeply.
Ever wondered, “What am I actually hearing when I listen to tango?” This is an opportunity to discover a whole new dimension of the music.
