About this Event
Be inquisitive and discover hands-on artisan crafts, traditionally associated with the area surrounding the St Paul’s Cathedral.
Join us as we experiment with stone, actively explore paper sculpting techniques and more, to re-live the story of the City, how it was made, and together how it continues to be remade.
Find out more about stone by taking part in the pavilion’s quest to find its secret medieval stones! Or pick up the City Stone Map from the City Information Centre (also available digitally).
This event is part of the 'If Stone Could Speak' cultural programme delivered by Cheapside Business Alliance and the City of London Corporation, and produced by URBAN LEARNERS. The programme celebrates the installation of the 'From the Thames to Eternity', a City of London project providing new accessible granite seating outside St Paul's Cathedral. It explores the cultural and historical value of stone, while encouraging discussion about reuse, longevity, and heritage, and the role natural stone can play in creating a more sustainable built environment.
