About this Event
Ian George & the Knee Pockets are a subtly explosive and peculiarly adventurous band delivering the sort of concert you’ll likely dance, sway, sing, laugh and probably cry too. There is one motive: ALLOW A GOOD TIME
The performance teems with whimsicality, clever arrangements - interrupted by triumphant tangents - and outlandish solos grounded by George’s emotive and gauzy voice and by the simple strength of a good song. Expect an engaging and dynamic haul of gentle and not so gentle folk-rock adventures.
Guest Opener Sharaya Summers is a sixth-generation Southern Oregonian singer-songwriter whose dreamy blend of folk, country, and indie rock carries echoes of Fleetwood Mac, Mazzy Star, and Patsy Cline. Summers spent her twenties chasing songs across the country, from a six-month, 50-state tour to years spent writing and recording in Nashville and Los Angeles. Her indie-rock band Banta signed with eOne Records in 2014, and she has toured alongside artists including Houndmouth, Ella Vos, and Milo Greene. Her breakout solo single “Light of the Moon” has amassed millions of streams and earned airplay on KCRW & KEXP. Her music has also been featured in television shows including Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, and Love Island UK. In 2024, Summers released Forever You & Me, a collection of country, folk, and indie-pop songs through Audio Network. Now back home in Southern Oregon, she continues to write and perform while raising her two children. Summers affectionately calls this chapter “Mom Rock”—songs shaped by love, loss, motherhood, and the beautiful mess of starting over. Her music feels nostalgic and deeply lived-in: a little Laurel Canyon, a little country, and unmistakably genuine.
