🎶 Saturday Night Live at The Steampacket Hotel 🎶This Saturday, Ian “Bird” Birdwheel brings his unmistakable blend of groove, character and seasoned musicianship to The Steampacket Hotel — live from 6pm–9pm!
Bird has been part of the Australian music landscape for decades, performing lead vocals, guitar and drum loops with a style that’s relaxed, rootsy and full of charm. He’s played just about everywhere: major festivals like Port Fairy, Big Day Out and Apollo Bay, radio spots on ABC, Triple J, RRR and PBS, and TV appearances on ABC, Channel 9 and Channel 10. Add in countless gigs from Hobart to Humpty Doo in multifarious outfits, and you’ve got a performer with stories, groove and experience in spades.
His solo sets are rhythmic, engaging and effortlessly entertaining — the perfect soundtrack for a cruisy Saturday night by the river.
