The Irish American Heritage Museum is proud to continue its quarterly event entitled "IAHM's Celtic Influences Performance Series." These shows highlight performers and acts from around the globe that derive their energy and art from our rich, ancestral Irish culture.
IAHM welcomes back - and by very popular demand - Cécelia, a band comprised of three of Canada's finest musicians. As well as performing at IAHM in 2025 and Old Songs (Altamont NY), Music Haven (Schenectady) and the Scottish Games (Altamont NY) in 2026, Cécilia's fan base is exploding in New York state. Cécelia's traditional, Celtic influenced music and warm presence their infectious, overflowing energy. "Those who know" know what the band's expertise and energy feels like in IAHM's Flanagan Theater, Albany's most intimate venue.
Cécilia combines and presents the best of many musical worlds together in their explorations of traditional, Celtic and Quebecois music. Every one of their pieces is skillfully arranged and highlighted with influences from contemporary, classical, jazz and swing styles. Cécilia's recent debut album Accent is an impressive offering full of vibrant rhythms and melodies, all resonating with a unique warmth and richness of expression.
