I HAVE A NAME
a world-premiere dance-theatre work by MoJo Co.Lab’s collaboration with Olivia Eberhart, The Matrescence Project. I HAVE A NAME, choreographed by Director and Movement Artist Morgan Joanne Grube alongside Theater Artist and Script Writer Olivia Eberhart, is inspired by the journey in and through motherhood: Matrescence. This work moves through explorations and shared themes of motherhood, identity, resilience, longing, and transformation– unfolding portraits of the many selves a person carries, abandons, and reclaims within their journey.
Following the performance will be a Community Reflection where we invite the audience and artists to gather in an open discussion led by project collaborators, Morgan Grube and Olivia Eberhart. This is an opportunity for us to hear your thoughts, questions, and experiences.
This is a Donation-based Experience with a suggested donation of $10-$30.
Throughout this process we have absorbed many artful mediums in order to fully inform and explore our work. This includes writing, spoken word, poetry, drawing, and, of course, many forms of dance/movement play. We invite you to bring your journal, your easel, your coloring books, and create in response to our work. Creative writing, drawing, and coloring supplies will be available but please feel free to bring your own as well! There will be opportunity during the Community Reflection to share your art if you would like.
Performing Artists: Amber Coughlin, Jade Holloway, Raven Crawford, Celia Romanoski, Rosilyn Jentner, Sara Lawrence-Sucato, Valeria Kozak, Samantha Fox, Morgan Joanne Grube, Jaclyn Vogel, Cait Wallenhorst, Natalie Brown, Angelina DiFranco, & Kylie Karam
We look forward to sharing this work with you and can’t wait to see you there!
