Join the Happy Wanderers for a 1-hour or 2-hour group walk, OR - a 2-hour bike ride on the Lehigh Trail and other connection routes in Plam Coast!Start Point: Park in front of the Hobby Lobby (closed on Sundays.) Join the Happy Wanderers for these AVA-sanctioned 5km (3.1 miles) or 10km (6.2 miles) group walks, or a 13km (8.5 miles) or 31km (19 miles) group bike rides.
Events start at 8:00AM, please arrive 20 minutes before start to find us, park & sign-in.
NOTE: Bike Ride will depend on weather/temps predicted for that day - 2 to 3 days out, look for updates on the bike rides go/nogo.
Each of the walks will have a club "leader" that is familiar with the route. You may walk with the group or at your own pace. Maps and Directions are provided for all of the trails. Registration starts 30 minutes prior and the cost is $4.00 for participants 12yrs old or older. Children to be accompanied by an adult. Volksmarchers will receive AVA/IVV credit for these events.
The walk is rated 1A (flat & easy), it is on sidewalks through the Historic District including residential streets, parks and the downtown shopping / main street area. This walk is suitable for wheelchairs/strollers. Pets are allowed but must be leashed and picked up after.
The bike rides will be led by an experienced cycler who has ridden the route before. We'll ride at a very moderate 8-12 mph for 2 hours.
