Calling all e-scooter riders in Hutchinson and the Salt City area! It’s time to link up for the ultimate end-of-summer group cruise.We are hosting a massive community scooter ride completely outside of the State Fair window, meaning we get wide-open roads, clear streets, and perfect early autumn cruising weather. Whether you have a high-powered commuter scooter or a casual cruiser, all electric wheels are welcome!📍 THE ROUTE:2:00 PM | Meetup Point: Carey Park (Main parking lot by the loop). We will gather here to chat, check out everyone's rides, and take a group photo.2:30 PM | The Park Loop: We will start with a full, scenic warm-up lap around Carey Park Boulevard to get everyone rolling!2:45 PM | The Cruise: We will exit the park and head straight north on South Main Street, cruising directly through the heart of Downtown Hutchinson.3:15 PM | End Point: Hutchinson Public Library (901 N Main St). We will park our rigs at the library plaza to hang out, swap stories, and celebrate a successful takeover!🛑 IMPORTANT RULES FOR A SAFE RIDE:Because we want to keep this event fun, safe, and completely free of city permit issues, we are operating strictly as legal traffic:Obey Traffic Laws: Stop at all red lights and stop signs. We do NOT block intersections.Ride on the Road: Kansas law treats e-scooters like bicycles. No riding on the sidewalks or cutting through pedestrian pathways! Stay to the right lane.Safety First: Helmets are strongly encouraged for everyone (and legally required if you are under 18!).One Rider Per Scooter: No doubling up or carrying passengers.Invite your friends, charge your batteries to 100%, and let’s make this the biggest scooter meetup Hutchinson has ever seen!Disclaimer: This is a casual, grassroots community meetup.
