About the venue: A bar rated 4.7 from a smaller base of around 90 reviews, mid-priced, open from 4pm to midnight Monday to Thursday. One detail directly useful for your format: reviewers describe a separate quiet room off the main bar area, available when it is not booked for a private event — worth asking about, since it would suit conversation far better than the main room.
Getting there: The venue is on North Main Street in downtown Providence, walking distance from the Rhode Island State House and Providence Station — which puts Boston within about an hour by MBTA commuter rail or Amtrak. Downtown Providence is compact and walkable, with garages and street parking nearby for anyone driving.
