Newcomers’ Day on Saturday 10th October.Join us for an introduction to trail hunting on Saturday 10th October.
This is a great way to introduce your horse to hounds and riding as a group. Setting off promptly at 11am we will follow hounds on a number of pre-laid trails for a couple of hours, with some optional jumps.
We'll be serving light refreshments at the meet and hot filled sausage or bacon baps & tea / coffee / soft drinks on our return to the venue.

Plenty of parking on grass at the venue, available from 10.30am.
Entry fees including light refreshments at the meet & hot refreshments afterwards:
⭐️ Adults: £45 in advance / £50 cash on the day
⭐️ Children 10-16yo: £25 in advance / £30 cash on the day
⭐️ Children under 10yo: £10 in advance / £15 cash on the day
⭐️ Hurworth Hunt subscribers: £10 cap
⭐️ Refreshments are available for just £5 for anyone not riding.
Entries close at 10pm on 9th October.
Dress code:
Black / navy jacket with a cream stock. Ratcatcher / tweed jacket with shirt & tie is fine if you’ve not got a dark jacket.
For adults body protectors are advisable if jumping.
All children taking part must wear a body protector and a riding hat with a kite mark.
Plaited horses/ponies preferred but not essential.
Everyone welcome. This is a child friendly event - parents / guardians must be present for the duration of the event.
All advance entries via Horsevents / cash only on the day.
No refunds given for cancellations after entries have closed.
