Throughout the day, celebrate Anatomy Lessons with real live animals, bones, animal shaped cotton candy and drop-in activities for all ages.

Raptor Reptiles
Discover the wonders of Australian wildlife with Raptor Reptiles. Meet frogs, turtles and snakes and touch animal skulls and bones. Learn about animal habitats, conservation, and the important role we can play in caring for our environment.
Local Bushcare and Georges Riverkeeper frog experts
Georges River Council’s Bushcare team will host an information station exploring the plants and habitats connected to local animals featured in the exhibition, as well as ways you can help protect our natural environment. Learn how to attract and protect frogs in your garden using frog saunas and hotels, with our Georges Riverkeeper frog experts! Discover how to identify the frogs that call your backyard home.
Animal shaped cotton candy
'Sweet Art Gallery' will be joining us on the day, creating their incredible animal-shaped fairy floss. Watch as your favourite animals are transformed into colourful, fluffy works of art, then treat yourself to one of these delicious creations. It's the perfect sweet addition to a fun-filled family day at the Museum & Gallery!
More fun!
Throughout the day, we will have free drop-in activities for all ages, where visitors can make their own animal yarn token, animal hats and find hidden frogs in a little treasure hunt, perfect for visitors of all ages.
Terms and conditions:
- For participants aged 11 years and under, parents and/or guardians of children must remain at Hurstville Museum & Gallery for the duration of the program. For safety reasons, we allow each parent and/or guardian to be responsible of a maximum of 4 children per session (1:4 ratio).
- A parent and/or guardian must be aged 16 years or over. A parent and/or guardian must remain at Hurstville Museum & Gallery for the duration of the program for participants aged 11 years and under.
- Programs are fully supervised by qualified staff.
- While all reasonable precautions are taken, participation in the program is at the participants' parent/guardian’s own risk.
- The museum and its staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the program unless caused by gross negligence.
