What happens when we look beyond professional titles and meet the human first?
Humanity in Practice: One Team. Many Perspectives. is an interprofessional day bringing together students, educators, practitioners and leaders from across health, social care, education and beyond.
At the heart of the day is a simple idea: before we are professionals, we are people.
The morning: Who is behind the profession?
The morning will feature a series of speakers sharing their experiences of leadership, challenge, identity, values, collaboration and humanity.
But there is a difference.
We won't tell you their profession.
Rather than introducing speakers through their job titles, roles or professional backgrounds, we invite you to hear their story first. Who are they? What has shaped them? What do they value? What does leadership mean to them?
Only later will their professional identities be revealed.
Through this, we will explore what happens when we remove some of the assumptions that can accompany professional labels and instead listen to the human experience behind them.
