Human Migration Film Festival Day Two: The World

(2023), dir. Walé Oyéjidé, followed by Q&A with the filmmaker.

In this magical and beautiful film, a Burkinabé boy flees his village and migrates to Italy for work. Later, disillusioned by heartbreak and haunted by memories of home, he slips through time in hopes of regaining all he has lost.

Produced in the nations of Burkina Faso and Italy, this cross-continental narrative illustrates the beauty that migrants bear across borders while conveying the familial chasms which commonly widen in their absence. (Description adapted from ).

Part of the HUMAN MIGRATION FILM FESTIVAL, sponsored by Franklin & Marshall's College Reckoning with Lancaster program, in collaboration with the Red Rose Film Festival.
FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. ADVANCE TICKETS REQUIRED.
