What if, instead of reading a book, you could borrow a person for a conversation?In the best sense of the word, the Human Library is a library of people and their experiences with prejudice. Instead of paperback books, actual people are on loan for conversations.

PRIOR REGISTRATION IS ESSENTIAL
The Human Library creates a safe space for dialogue where topics connected to prejudice, stigma, marginalisation and discrimination can be openly explored without condemnation. The people acting as Human Books have directly or indirectly experienced prejudice or bias because of aspects of their identity, background or life experiences, and are ready to share their stories and welcome your questions.
How does it work?
Drop in anytime between 1:00 and 5:00 PM, browse the Human Book titles available on the day and choose one or more Books that spark your curiosity. Our Human Librarians will help you borrow a Book and find your way through the Library.
Then simply sit down together for an open, honest human-to-human conversation. Every respectful question is welcome.
Come curious. Ask the questions you may not normally have the opportunity to ask, listen to experiences different from your own, and perhaps challenge some of your assumptions along the way.
