Hello dearest Facebook community, Join us for an evening of "unconventional" Art Song composed by the one and only Jake Heggie. This contemporary composer offers audiences and performers a new twist on the Classical Art song genre through his joyful incorporation of Jazz, Broadway, African-American spiritual, and popular idioms into this typically Classical art form. With the inclusion of modern American poetry, Heggie explores contemporary and relatable themes of creation, childhood, love, and confronting death.
