Across ten landmark Stranglers albums, Hugh established himself as one of Britain’s most distinctive songwriters and musicians, responsible for many of the band’s best-loved songs. His lyrics to the timeless Golden Brown remain a songwriting masterclass.
His acclaimed solo career has since produced ten albums, culminating in Moments of Madness—hailed as a “late-flowering classic” and a “modern-day masterpiece”.
This November, Hugh returns to the stage for what he has announced will be his final solo acoustic tour.
Performing songs from The Stranglers’ remarkable catalogue alongside highlights from his extensive solo career, Hugh will also debut brand-new material from his forthcoming studio album, Succubus, the follow-up to Moments of Madness. These new songs will be heard live for the very first time during this tour.
The evening will also feature a special open-mic section, offering audience members the opportunity to put their questions directly to Hugh.
“I’m not sure how much longer I can continue to perform, and so this will be my final solo acoustic tour.”
