Rooting new plants from cuttings has been the traditional method of passing along plants for hundreds of years. Gaye Hammond, Past President of the Houston Rose Society and Master Rosarian along with Elisabeth Castro, Chairman for the Texas Rose Rustlers and a Master Gardener will present a root-a-rose workshop showing participants how they can successfully root cuttings in, among other things, a ziploc bag! The technique is one that works with most plants that will root from cuttings and, in Gaye’s words, “Improved my success rate in getting viable seedlings by 100%!” Not only will you learn the “how to’s” of propagation, more importantly they will share how to tell when things are going wrong and what to do about it. Attendees in person can participate in a rose cutting exchange. Presentation will be available on Facebook Live Streaming.
