Supporting Employees Experiencing Domestic Abuse: Recognise, Respond, Record & Refer
An in-person session for HR professionals, managers and workplace leaders.
Domestic abuse can have a significant impact on an employee’s wellbeing, safety and working life. For HR teams and managers, knowing what to look out for, and how to respond when someone asks for help can make a real difference.
Join us for this practical and informative in-person session, designed to give you greater confidence in supporting employees who may be experiencing domestic abuse.
We’ll explore the 4 Rs: Recognise, Respond, Record and Refer, giving you practical guidance on what you can do within the workplace.
What you’ll learn:
- Recognise – understand the signs and indicators that an employee may be experiencing domestic abuse.
- Respond – learn how to respond safely and sensitively if an employee discloses abuse or asks for support.
- Record – understand the importance of appropriate and accurate recording, while considering confidentiality and safety.
- Refer – learn how to signpost employees to appropriate specialist support and services.
We’ll also look at the role HR and employers can play in creating a workplace where employees feel safe to speak up and know where to turn for support.
This session is an opportunity to build your knowledge, ask questions and take away practical ideas that you can use within your organisation.
