How to Write the First 10 Pages of Your Rom-Com! You might have an idea for a rom com. Or maybe you have an outline already. Or maybe you just want to peruse through your dating history and re-discover your youth?? Come join in us in this writing workshop where you'll learn how to write the 1st Act of your Rom Com and how to begin writing your 2nd!
Each week we’ll go over a new aspect of what makes a memorable 1st Act. We'll do in class writing prompts, receive personalized feedback on your take home writing, watch beloved rom com movies, and read scripts. We’ll go in depth into the set up, your main characters wants vs. needs, their world, the inciting incident, the meet cute, the stakes and turning point that lead you to your 2nd act. By the end you’ll be a 1st Act expert!
