Roast it. Bag it. Take it home.
Fire up our roaster, run a real batch, and leave with a bag of coffee you roasted yourself!
About this Event

You’ve been drinking roasted coffee your whole life. Now come roast it.

How To Roast Coffee is a two-hour, hands-on workshop led by Rambert Sin, head roaster at Landrace Coffee Roasters and Certified SCA Trainer. You’ll go behind the scenes into our roastery, fire up the production roaster as a group, run a real batch together, and pack it yourselves. Everyone walks out with a bag of coffee they helped roast that day.

This isn’t a lecture. You’ll be on your feet for most of the class, moving between the lab and the roastery, with a job at every stage.

Here’s what the two hours look like:

You’ll start by getting up close with coffee before it’s ever been roasted, then head into the roastery to bring our production roaster to life. While it heats up, you’ll learn what’s really happening inside the drum and taste just how much roast changes a cup. Then the roaster is ready, and it’s your turn: the group runs a real batch from start to finish, with Rambert coaching every call. You’ll hear first crack, watch your coffee come out of the drum, pack it up with your own hands, and finish with a fresh brew and a few tips for enjoying your bag at home.

Spots are capped at 10 per session.

What’s included:

Instructor bio: Rambert Sin is Augusta’s head roaster and a Certified SCA Trainer with deep roots in specialty coffee. He brings a teaching style that’s equal parts technical and genuinely fun: the kind of instructor who makes the nerdy stuff click.
