🟣 Building structure and dramaturgy for a one-person show

🟣 Practical production: rehearsal planning, tech needs, and presenting your work
👥 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫: actors, theater students, directors, and writers who want to make their own work. No solo experience is required.
𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐑
𝑷𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒓 𝒅𝒆 𝑩𝒖́𝒓𝒄𝒂 – an Irish actor, director and playwright from Galway, who has been closely connected with Poland and the Silesian theatre scene for many years.
▪️ For over a decade, he performed at An Taibhdhearc – Ireland’s leading theatre producing work in the Irish language. In Galway, he directed full-scale productions of Shakespeare’s works, including Hamlet, Macbeth and King Lear.
▪️ He also co-founded the independent theatre company MorWax Productions, creating productions inspired by the classics, contemporary culture and cinema. His stage adaptations have included Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Psycho.
▪️ He is the creator and performer of productions that combine theatre, comedy and direct interaction with the audience. In Poland, he has presented, among other works, the one-man show 1984, based on George Orwell’s novel.
▪️ At Korez Theatre in Katowice, he created his own adaptation and staging of Hamlet, in which he plays eight different characters.
▪️ For his original interpretation of Hamlet at Korez Theatre, he was nominated for the Golden Mask Award in the Special Award category.
▪️ De Búrca is an artist who readily takes on great works and gives them a contemporary, direct form. In his productions, the classics meet humour, music, improvisation and active audience participation.
