World 3.0: How Community Would Help End Gang Violence, Raise Birth Rates, and More
For deep thinkers, world changers, entrepreneurs, and curious minds
Could stronger real-life communities help solve some of society’s hardest problems?
From gang violence to declining birth rates, many seemingly separate challenges raise a common question: How does the way we connect with others shape our lives—and what could we build differently?
Join the first World 3.0 gathering for an evening of ideas, dinner, and meaningful conversation. We’ll explore how communities provide belonging, identity, respect, and practical support—and how rebuilding those connections could help create a better society.
We’ll also challenge the idea that community is always beneficial. When can close-knit groups reinforce harmful behavior? Where do economic pressures matter more? And what would effective solutions actually look like?
Following a short presentation, you’ll discuss these questions with your table and work together on a practical proposal. You might explore:
- What could a positive community offer a teenager who sees gang membership as their best path to belonging and respect?
- Could regular face-to-face interaction help people build romantic connections beyond first impressions? Have you ever become attracted to someone you initially found physically unattractive? What changed?
- What support would make relationships and raising a family more feasible?
No expertise or prepared opinions are needed. Bring curiosity, a willingness to listen, and an interest in exploring difficult questions.
This is also a great place to network and meet people interested in solving hard problems in today’s society and making the world a better place. Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking for collaborators, someone with an idea to develop, or simply hoping to make thoughtful new friends, you’re welcome here.
What to expect
We’ll gather in a private room at a restaurant, where you can enjoy food and conversation. You’ll stay with the same table during the structured discussions, followed by time to move around and meet other attendees.
A purchase of at least one food or beverage item is required to attend.
