Featured Readers:
Mack Little
Mack Little is a Houston-based author, retired librarian, and IT analyst. Her life's journey—from Conyers, Georgia to the Army to a Master of Information Science from the University of North Texas—eventually led back to her first love: writing. As a medical librarian, she authored and co-authored articles for publications including the Journal of the Medical Library Association and co-authored Disaster Planning: A How-to-do-it Manual (Neal-Schuman, 2005). Frustrated by the narrow scope of Black representation in fiction, she turned to writing magical, adventurous, and romantic sagas populated by the diverse heroes she wanted to see on the page. Her historical novel Daughter of Hades, set in the 17th-century Caribbean, received the Grand Prize Chaucer Award for Pre-1750 Historical Fiction at the Chanticleer International Book Awards and was shortlisted for the Hawthorne Prize. When she's not writing, she travels—including an annual pilgrimage to Paris and a small French village, where she helps renovate a castle.
Holly Walrath
Holly Lyn Walrath is a writer, editor, and publisher. Her poetry and short fiction have appeared in Strange Horizons, Fireside Fiction, Analog, and Flash Fiction Online. She is the author of several books of poetry, including Glimmerglass Girl, The Smallest of Bones, and Numinous Stones. She holds a B.A. in English from The University of Texas and a Master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Denver. In 2019, she launched Interstellar Flight Press, an indie SFF publisher dedicated to publishing underrepresented genres and voices.
