Houston is one of the most connected cities in the country. That connectivity brings opportunity and it also creates risk. Human trafficking thrives in large metropolitan regions with major transportation hubs, and Houston sits at the center of that reality.
In response, civic leaders, nonprofits, and community organizations are coming together for a focused Human Trafficking Awareness Event centered on education, prevention, and coordinated action. This convening is designed to inform without sensationalizing, elevate credible voices, and strengthen how Houston responds to one of its most urgent challenges.
This effort is supported by a funded, multi year strategy through Rotary and regional partners and reflects a shared commitment to protect children and disrupt exploitation through awareness and collaboration. This initiative includes active collaboration between Houston Millennials and the Houston Airports System, reflecting a cross-generational approach to awareness, prevention, and community engagement.
