Since acquiring the distillery in 2017, Billy has turned GlenAllachie into a bold, innovative, and critically acclaimed Speyside powerhouse. With over 50 years in the industry, he brings an unmatched depth of knowledge and an uncompromising vision to every step of the process—from fermentation and cask selection to maturation and final blending.
At GlenAllachie, Billy is crafting whiskies that are unapologetically rich and complex, using an adventurous range of cask types like PX and Oloroso Sherry, Madeira, Moscatel, Rioja, and Virgin Oak. Every decision is hands-on. Every cask is chosen with purpose. The result? Some of the most expressive single malts coming out of Scotland today—bold in character, elegant in structure, and unmistakably his.
