Houston AI Operations Lab: Cut Repetitive Admin with AI
Stop doing the same administrative work the same way every week.
Every week brings another AI tool promising to transform your company. The result for most operators isn't massive efficiency—it's subscription clutter, scattered notes, and tools that never become part of a dependable business system.
Hosted by Houston AI Business Collective inside the flagship campus of The Cannon West Houston, this 2.5-hour hands-on working lab helps business owners, managers, and service professionals move from casual AI experimentation to a reliable operational workflow.
You will not sit through technical coding tutorials or vendor software pitches. Instead, you will take one real recurring administrative headache from your business and redesign it step-by-step into an AI-assisted workflow:
- The Single-Task Audit: Deconstruct high-friction tasks (meeting notes $\rightarrow$ action items, lead intake $\rightarrow$ follow-up drafts, weekly team summaries, or routine client onboarding).
- Live Business Workflow Challenge: Watch the room dissect and rebuild two real, pre-submitted attendee workflows live on screen in under 15 minutes each.
- The Human-in-the-Loop Safeguard: Establish mandatory review checkpoints to protect client confidentiality, prevent automated errors, and keep humans in control of final commitments.
- The 1-Page Blueprint: Build your custom AI Operations Workflow Map and walk away with a 30-day testing plan you can roll out immediately.
No coding, technical background, or laptops required. All materials, diagnostic worksheets, and frameworks are provided at check-in.
WHAT ATTENDEES WALK AWAY WITH
- My First AI Operations Workflow Map: A completed 1-page blueprint detailing Trigger $\rightarrow$ Input $\rightarrow$ AI Step $\rightarrow$ Human Checkpoint $\rightarrow$ Output $\rightarrow$ Next Action.
- The Human Checkpoint Rubric: Clear criteria identifying what AI can draft and what must remain strictly human-reviewed (pricing, contracts, client promises, and sensitive data).
- The 30-Day Workflow Test Plan: A simple implementation roadmap complete with baseline time costs, test periods, and measurable success metrics.
- Post-Event Digital Toolkit: Editable digital workflow templates and prompt frameworks sent to your inbox to run this exact process internally with your team.
