It’s giving magnanimity, beauty, joie de vivre, & kindness…It’s FINALLY Libra season, and we couldn’t be happier!! Let the cardinal wind carry you to where you belong on October 8 to celebrate our very own Achaziyah’s birthday, where we’ll have a sp👀kily jubilant dancefloor, rocking all night by our FIERCE flight crew, featuring San Francisco’s own — 🔥 DJ Spun 🔥, a DJ of 20+ years, producer + remixer & label-owner who spins among the likes of Francois K (@), DJ Harvey (@), & Maceo Plex (@), to name a few, and a many-year curator of @momaps1 ‘s Warm Up Music series. He also co-pilots 2 collaborative projects — “BlackSpun” w/ Mark “Blakkat” Bell, and “Loose Control Band” w/ Jonah Sharp. Not to mention, he’s got a discography longer than a CVS receipt! He shall be flanked by none other than local legends Char and DJ Pussywillow. Our hostess-mother, DJ-Drag extraordinaire, LaDaune returns to give us that haute-camp spectacle that’ll make fellas think twice about their marriages. Polish those rings up, hubbies, as she’ll be evoking the Libra spirit, involuntarily testing the self-esteem of her thirstiest of fans by fluffing and flirting through the atmosphere like a gorgeous cloud to be seen by (and to give shade to) an ever-so-privileged few. Her company will be kept by Boston’s leading afterlife drag queen, Betty Geuse (@thebettygx3), and our local supervillain and proper terror, Misster (@heymisster)! Together they will turn it up like a tornado — absolutely cyclonique — but somehow the roof will still be on by the time they’re done?? No promises…but you’ll have to be there to see. A nor’easter could never…
Word on the street is that there’ll be a drag competition for a November performance slot on our stage 👀. Keep your ears to the ground and your eyes up high as we’ll announce the specifics in a follow-up post, and maybe YOU could be the next drag performer to hit our stage. We’re feeling oh so generous! Come be auspicious and shake those britches with us for LIBRA SEASON ♎️ 🎉
