About this Event
House of Art hosts Table Takeover as an open forum for artists and creative thinkers to learn more about themselves, be heard and connect with one another. These gatherings are designed to be light hearted and interactive, creating space for honest discussion, shared experience and creative exchange. Whether you are early in your practice or well established, the table is a place to reflect, listen and contribute.
Our burning question is simple but loaded. We want to know how feeling shows up in your work as well as the quieter feelings that sometimes dont.We are all tasked with trusting instincts and controlling reactions, We will all taste rejection, doubt and sucess, but how do we sit with those feelings?
Then there’s everyone else's feelings. How were received, perceived and responded to means a lot. Is it even true? We’re opening up the table for a chat about how these themes shape what we make and how we move through the world.Bring something to share, whether it is a sketch, a note, a memory, a messy idea or simply your presence. We’ll spark the conversation at 6:30PM, wrap up around 7:30PM, leaving space before and after to connect.
Firepit Gallery, North Greenwich | 6PM – 8PM | Wednesday 18th Feb
House of Art is a creative collective built on collaboration, conversation, and community. Co-founded by Curtis and Pearl, we bring artists and audiences together through experiences that sit at the intersection of art, healing, and dialogue. Our events blend expression and exploration — from live art and wellbeing sessions to open discussions that challenge how we see and create. We’re an open space for artists, dreamers, healers and makers.
Photography and Filming take place during workshops and gallery opening times. Please let us know if you do not want to be on film. All material captured is used for either our social media or future promotion.
Firepit is a unique space, we have a gallery of beautiful and relevant art, artist studio spaces and a community event space. We will hold the event on a large communal table, next to the windows. You are in the heart of the gallery here and are surrounded by inspirational art.
