House Blend: Where Music, Coffee and Community Come Together in Ypsilanti
A new daytime music social is bringing together disco, funk, house, R&B and feel-good favorites for an experience that goes beyond the traditional nightlife scene.
Great music has a way of bringing people together, regardless of age, background or musical preference. That’s the idea behind House Blend, a new daytime music social coming to Yours Truly Event Venue in Ypsilanti.
Curated and hosted by local DJ and music enthusiast DJ Nitro, House Blend is built around one simple idea: a little bit of everything makes for a better experience.
Blending the timeless grooves of disco and funk with the soulful rhythms of house music, familiar R&B favorites and the energy of Top 40, House Blend takes guests on a musical journey that moves across genres and generations. It’s a celebration of good records, unexpected transitions and those songs that make it nearly impossible to stay in your seat.
But House Blend is about more than the music.
Designed as a relaxed daytime social experience, the event brings together music lovers, coffee enthusiasts, vinyl collectors and local entrepreneurs in an atmosphere that encourages connection and discovery.
Guests can purchase specialty caffeinated beverages from a local mobile coffee business, browse a curated selection of pre-owned vinyl records available for purchase from a local retailer, and enjoy complimentary light refreshments.
The concept also reflects a broader appreciation for Southeast Michigan’s creative culture, independent businesses and rich musical heritage.
For DJ Nitro, House Blend is an opportunity to create something different: an environment where people can enjoy quality music without the expectations of traditional nightlife.
Whether you’re a disco enthusiast, a house music head, an R&B lover, a vinyl collector or simply someone who appreciates a good soundtrack and good company, there’s a little something in the mix for everyone.
Different sounds. Different generations. One common groove. That’s House Blend.
