PRAx and the School of Visual, Performing and Design Arts Present: Hour For The Ears Experience a sensory journey of immersive listening under the guidance of composer and Patricia Valian Reser Director of the School of the Arts, Peter Swendsen.
The 2026-27 Hour for the Ears season will continue to feature a range of music spanning the early days of electronic music to cutting-edge ambisonic compositions. And for the first time, all three presentations will feature a live performance. Our fall program features composer Cheryl Leonard sharing music based on the forces that shape environments and ecosystems in the Antarctic Peninsula region.
Join us in a darkened Ray Theater, with flexible seating including pillows and blankets, for this hour-long adventure that invites you to tap into your sense of listening in a way you never have before.
Experience this event as part of our fall theme Polar Science, Polar Art events throughout the month of October.
