A masked winter salon in a candlelit Gothic church. Costume contest, carnival floor, and the Hudson Valley cannabis community.About this Event
It gets warm in here.
On the coldest Friday in February, we’re opening the doors of a 19th-century Gothic church in Newburgh and filling it with candlelight, masks, and the people building New York’s cannabis industry.
Hothouse is not a trade show and not a party. It’s a salon. Forty-foot ceilings, stained glass, low light, and a room full of people worth meeting. Come masked and every conversation starts on equal footing.
The floor
This is a state fair, not a expo hall. Brands run games instead of standing behind tables. Knock down the milk crates, pop a balloon, drop a chip down the plinko board, spin the wheel. Every booth has something to play, and local artists are building the spaces.
The costume contest
The centerpiece of the night. Masks encouraged, full costume rewarded, and a marquee prize for whoever commits hardest. Judging on stage.
Also inside
A heated lounge. A community showcase spotlighting Hudson Valley brands. A red carpet and step-and-repeat at the entrance, because you should get a photograph of yourself on a night like this. A full bar operated by The Ellis. Food on site.
Who comes
Cultivators, processors, dispensary owners, budtenders, brand founders, ancillary operators, press, elected officials, and the people who read The Other. The Hudson Valley cannabis community gets one room and one night. This is it.
Presented by The Other and Hudson Valley Cannabis Roll Call.
