“Architecture is the masterly, correct and magnificent play of masses brought together in light.”
Le Corbusier
🏗️ Forum Hotel is one of Kraków’s most distinctive and controversial buildings. Love it or hate it, this monumental icon of late modernism has become an inseparable part of the city’s mythology.
✨ But Forum is much more than concrete and architecture.
The exhibition reveals the hotel through its architecture and the people who created its legend, taking us back to the days when Forum was a window onto the West a world of ✨ luxury, 🥂 nightlife, international guests and prestige that seemed almost exotic in the realities of communist Poland.
🏙️ Join me to discover a building that became a symbol of Kraków’s dreams of modernity and to see how architecture can tell the story of an entire era.
👤 Your guide: Paweł Mrozowicz
I am a professional tour guide with almost 20 years of experience, leading tours at the most interesting exhibitions in Poland and Paris. I am a Podgórze citizen by choice, passionate about the history and culture of the PRL era, as well as architecture and the stories hidden behind buildings we often pass without giving them a second thought.
Let’s look beyond the concrete and rediscover the dreams, ambitions and contradictions of an era that wanted Kraków to feel modern. 🏨✨
See you in Podgórze museum, at the better side of Vistula river,
