HOT PURSUIT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED - PLEASE SEE BELOW!!!Hot Pursuit is going back to its roots.
We want to make sure everyone is aware that the decision has been made to postpone the Hot Pursuit 5K and it will NOT take place this Saturday, August 22. We are appreciative of all the valuable feedback we received from our email over the weekend.
The race has officially been rescheduled to Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Murphy Candler Park. And with the new date, we’re bringing back the Hot Pursuit experience so many of you know and love.
- The Glow Run is back
- We’re returning to a nighttime race
- We’re returning to Murphy Candler Park
- We’re returning to our official Hot Pursuit race route
As we prepared for this year’s event, we took another look at the current race participant numbers, and the experience we wanted to create for our runners, families, volunteers and community partners. We decided Hot Pursuit deserved to return to its roots and give our community the experience that has made this race special.
Please let us know if you would like your registration transferred to the October 10th evening race, or if you are unable to participate on the new date/time. This will help us track who is and is not aware of the change. If you are already registered, you do not need to do anything. Your registration will automatically transfer to the October 10 race. If you are unable to participate on the new date or at the new time, please email [email protected], and our team will assist you with a refund.
For everyone else, you now have more time to build your team, grab your glow gear, and get ready to light up Murphy Candler Park with us.

Again, there will be no Hot Pursuit race this Saturday, August 22. Thank you for your continued support of Hot Pursuit and the Brookhaven Police Department. We look forward to seeing you this October.
