Ileath Bridges and Kate Juliana are 100% genuine rock’n’roll. Sending you back to the 1960s bad girl garage band days. The band is dishing out hi-octane rock’n’roll with hints of Motown, revved up guitars in the vein of The Sonics and MC5 with a heavy dash of delta boogie. The lead singer, Janette Lopez, has been helping me run the backstage for years here in Mosswood Park, but tonight she’s center stage and out front where she belongs. Joining her are some of my favorite Halloween hair-hoppers whose dashing style of punk elegance will turn this place into a paranormal Shindig, a spookhouse of hullaballoo! Can punk rock be feel good? You bet, and these beloved bad girls and grisly garage guys will give you a trick-ish treat like nobody else! Today, they’ll be doing their own songs plus cover three Sonics classics, and it’s gonna be atomic! They’re called Hot Laundry, and their talent never shrinks!”
FANCY LEE er et band, der trækker sine musikalske rødder dybt ned i Louisianas hede sumpjord og lader dem blomstre i energiske, kompromisløse koncerter. Med køns- og samfundskritisk poesi, rå og rockede bluesriffs samt grooves med konstant fremdrift skaber de et lydunivers, der både er beskidt, forførende og politisk ladet, men også psykedeliske fortællinger om voodoohekse og sumpfolk, om kvinder uden mænd, om New Orleans’ skjulte bordeller og om farlige aftaler med underverdenen.
Debutalbummet 'Watch Out!' er en rablende rejse gennem sumpens mørkeste hjørner, hvor amerikansk sydstatsfolklore kolliderer med fandenivoldsk rock’n’roll. Det er som at træde ind i en David Lynch-film sat i udkanten af New Orleans.
