About this Event
Hope Levy is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, actress, and creator of the award-winning musical true story "The Connie Converse Universe – Searching for the "Amelia Earhart of Folk Music."
"The Connie Converse Universe" is a 75–85 minute live acoustic musical true story that blends music, storytelling, and history to explore the life and mysterious disappearance of pioneering 1950s singer-songwriter Connie Converse — an extraordinary artist whose music was largely unheard during her lifetime before being rediscovered decades after she vanished in 1974.
This will irrefutably be a uniquely mesmerizing evening under the redwoods!
$10-20 suggested donation; doors at 7, show at 7:30.

Levy's program was inspired in part by Howard Fishman's acclaimed biography, "To Anyone Who Ever Asks: The Life, Music, and Mystery of Connie Converse," which has introduced many new readers to her fascinating life and legacy.
The production has received several honors, including:
• Outstanding Musical – San Diego International Fringe Festival (2024)
• Best Solo Show (Female) – Hollywood Fringe TVO Award (2024) •
Best Biographical Solo Musical Performance – LA GEM Award (2024)
• Best of Asylum – Hollywood Fringe Festival (2024)
Through live performances of Connie's songs on acoustic guitar, historical context, and audience discussion, the presentation celebrates creativity, perseverance, and one of American folk music's most compelling forgotten voices.
