About this Event
Hope in the Dark is more than a dinner. It is an evening designed to make you feel, reflect, connect, and leave seeing access in a different way.
Join The Harvest Outreach People’s Project for our inaugural candlelight dinner fundraiser, an elegant and meaningful evening centered on the realities of unequal access to fresh produce and the challenges many families face in making healthier choices.
Guests will enjoy dinner by candlelight, hear powerful stories, and have the option to participate in a guided blindfold experience designed to evoke the uncertainty of not knowing what choices are available to you.
At The HOPP, our work goes beyond providing fresh produce. We help communities gain greater access to healthier options while offering practical nutrition education, recipes, demonstrations, and experiences that make healthier eating feel possible and sustainable.
For many families, wanting to eat healthier does not mean the right choices are always affordable, accessible, or within reach. Hope in the Dark invites us to sit with that uncertainty, hear the stories behind it, and consider what access, choice, and healthier living truly mean.
Guests can also take part in a silent auction featuring curated items and experiences, with proceeds supporting The HOPP’s work across Delaware and Maryland.
Come for the dinner. Come for the experience. Come because your presence helps us continue creating greater access, healthier choices, and stronger communities.
