Join us for a welcoming community event inspired by World Mental Health Day 2026, exploring mental health experiences for both Men & Women
About this Event

Inspired by World Mental Health Day 2026, we are eager to invite you to our Hope Blossoms 2 event, open to both males and females, a safe and informal space to listen, learn, connect and have conversations that matter.

You don't need to have personal experience of mental health difficulties to attend — everyone is welcome.

We have short talks from a panel of professional guest speakers:

  • Yunus Mohamed - Counsellor Bsc (Hons), MBACP (Accred.)
  • Dr Imran Mohammed — Psychiatrist
  • Dr Saeed Ahmar — Psychiatrist
  • Faaiza Vadia — CYP Mental Health Practitioner & Lecturer
  • Aisha Apa Nawaz — Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Alongside shared real life experiences, followed by workshops to enhance your learning.

Mental health can affect anyone, at any stage of life. Yet sometimes, knowing how we're feeling, understanding what we're experiencing or talking about it with others can be difficult.

This event provides an opportunity to pause, reflect and have meaningful conversations about mental health and wellbeing in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Workshops include:

1. The Roles We Carry
Exploring Life’s Changes, Responsibility & Mental Health
Male breadwinner case study + women’s hormonal changes/life stages

2. Creating Safe Spaces
Communication, Connection & Emotional Wellbeing
Exploring how we communicate, listen and create environments where people feel safe to open up.

3. Finding Your Ground
Grounding Techniques for Emotional Wellbeing
Practical techniques for managing overwhelm, anxiety and difficult emotions.

4. When Things Feel Too Much
Safety Planning & Knowing When to Seek Support
Recognising warning signs, creating a safety plan and identifying sources of support.

The event is open to all services, communities and faith leaders. Segregated seating and partition will be in place for the comfort of all attendees.

Due to the nature of the content, no children allowed

Refreshements will be provided
