Hoof & Hike is NTRC’s annual trail poker run, inviting participants to explore Picayune Strand on foot or horseback while enjoying a fun, relaxed day outdoors. Hikers and riders follow scenic routes, stop at poker stations along the way, and come together afterward for lunch, live music, prizes, chance drawings, and more. Whether you come for the trails, the experience, or the opportunity to give back, Hoof & Hike offers a meaningful way to spend the day outdoors while supporting NTRC’s horses.What You’re Supporting
At Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, our horses are at the heart of our programs. They provide strength, connection, confidence, and meaningful experiences for the children and adults we serve throughout the year.
Caring for these horses extends far beyond their time in the arena. NTRC is committed to providing thoughtful, lifelong care that may include respite throughout the year, retirement when their working years come to an end, and support for extraordinary veterinary needs when they arise.
Many retired NTRC horses continue their next chapter at Camp Rusk, a 500 acre sanctuary where they can live in a natural herd setting with open pasture and dedicated care.
Proceeds from Hoof & Hike help support the ongoing care of NTRC’s herd, including retirement, respite care, and extraordinary veterinary expenses.
