For decades, Ric was a cornerstone of the Hamilton music scene—a champion of independent artists, a dedicated voice behind McMaster University’s CFMU 93.3 FM with Lullabies in Razorland, and the thoughtful observer behind VIEW Magazine’s "Hamilton Music Notes" column. Above all, Ric was a friend who brought people together through a shared love of art, sound, and community.This evening is an event held by his friends, for his friends, to honor the music he championed and the connection he fostered across our city. While the lineup of speakers and musical performances will unfold organically as the date approaches, the heart of the night is simple: sharing stories, raising a glass, and celebrating a life that left a lasting mark on Hamilton's culture. We look forward to gathering with everyone whose life was touched by Ric.
